Jinxed

I really think I jinxed myself this week.  We found a coupon for Babies R Us that was only good this week so we went and bought a new carseat for Benjamin.  Our old infant seat was expired so we threw it away about a year ago.  Jeff didn't want to buy a new carseat until right before we had the baby...he even talked about buying it while I was in the hospital!  We bought it on Wednesday.  I ended up in the hospital Thursday!!  I guess Benjamin thought it was time to come because we now had a carseat for him so we could bring him home with us!!  I actually got a really bad stomach flu on Wednesday night and couldn't keep anything down all day Thursday.  The doctor's office wanted me to go in and get IV Hydration at the hospital because my countractions were also 3-5 minutes apart for about two hours.  I wasn't really worried because I could feel Benjamin moving and knew that I was most likely dehydrated which would make me have contractions.  Jeff came home from work a little early and took me to the hospital with the kids.  After walking around the hospital for 3 hours with the kids, I finally told him to go home and I would call him when they discharged me!  I ended up being there for 5 hours but they were able to put 2 IV bags in me and get my contractions to stop (after a little medication to help with the contractions).  I must say that they really need more comfortable beds in the Labor and Delivery Triage room!!  I felt lots better after getting a little liquid in me.  The worst part was when the nurse was putting in my IV she commented that she hates putting IVs in from that angle because it makes it really hard...not what you want to be hearing from someone who is putting  a needle in your arm!  Needless to say my hand hurt really bad all night and I am shocked there isn't a visible bruise on it.  Let's hope I don't have that same nurse when I go to deliver Benjamin!!!!!  Thankfully everything has been okay since I went to the hospital.  I went to the doctor's office today and they checked my amniotic fluid and it all looked okay.  It had only gone down 1 cm in the last week which they say was good since I had been so sick.  I was also still a little dehydrated so they just told me to keep drinking as much as I can.  I am so thankful that everything is okay with Benjamin and I have been able to keep everything down today!!  Let's hope this is the last sickness I have to endure with this pregnancy......

Andrea's Preschool Program

Andrea's Preschool Graduation was a couple weeks ago.  They did a fun program with lots of songs and everyone got a speaking part.  Here is a video of Andrea and her friend Addilee doing their part.

Spring Matinee

Samantha had her Spring Matinee on Saturday.  They did an Eric Carle collection.  Her class did The Very Quiet Cricket.  Don't mind the little boy yelling "I'm a pirate, ARRRRR" at the beginning of her dance...apparently Josh wanted to have a part in the musical too!!  Samantha played the moon...she is the one talking while the luna moth sails across the stage.

Happy Birthday Andrea!

Yesterday Andrea turned 5!!!  I can't believe she is already 5 and will be going to kindergarten.  It is crazy!

Andrea wanted a baby My Little Pony...it has
gone everywhere with her since she opened it!

Andrea and her ipod...she LOVED it!!

I asked her if she made a wish before she blew out
the candles and she just looked at me like I was crazy!!

The Cake

Andrea wanted a Tangled birthday cake this year.  I had grand plans to make a tower on her cake.  I watch all those cake shows on TLC so I have learned a few tricks!!  Let's just say that the tower would stand up on the cake until I put the roof on and then it fell off.  So, we had a Tangled cake without the tower.  It still turned out cute and Andrea loved it.  Samantha did too because she asked for the exact same cake for her birthday.  We had two cakes because I had extra cake leftover.

My Little Cowboy

Josh got to tag along with me to Andrea's preschool field trip where they rode horses.  I knew I needed to be there with her after her experience with Roos N More.  Andrea was going to ride the horse until it started making noises right when she was walking by the horse's head!!!  Josh LOVED it and wanted to ride more.

Roos N More

Andrea got to see some really neat animals at her preschool.  She was only brave enough to hold the joey (she was crying for most of the other animals).  I felt really bad after because I wish I would have stayed with her so she wouldn't be as scared.

Build-a-Bear

We had a visit from Grandma and the Hirst cousins in April.  My kids had so much fun with Isaac, Joey, Anna, and Will!!!  They love it when family comes to visit.  While they were all here, Grandma took everyone to Build-a-Bear.  Samantha wasn't able to come with us because she was at school and couldn't miss any more days but we picked her up an animal too!

After making our animals, we found some fun ride-on toys in the mall.  Luckily, we had just enough quarters for everyone to have a ride!!
