Hair

We had a few new looks in our family.  Josh was playing with his blanket today and it made his hair stick to his head.  I must say that I like the crazy afro look better.  Jeff and I both think he looks funny with his hair stuck to his head!!  The second is Sammy.  She decided to give herself a haircut like Susan and Sharon on The Parent Trap.  It doesn't look too bad in this picture but if you look at the right side of the picture.  Those hairs you see sticking out around her eye/nose level... That is what a big chunk of her hair looks like on both sides.  We can hide it but it makes it a little harder to do her hair in the morning!!

A Visit from the Brooks

We had a visit from my sister and her family on Saturday.  My girls were so sad McKinley had to leave!  They all went to bed together last night so Andrea was crying all morning because McKinley was gone.  McKinley and Sammy are 5 months apart and Joshua and Denali are 6 weeks apart.  Andrea and Sammy LOVED Denali (McKinley too) and were vying for her attention.  Andrea LOVED McKinley and wanted to sit by her all the time.  It was a short but fun visit.  Hopefully we can see them again soon.

Depressing Market

We have some friends that used to live down the street from us.  They have the same house we do but they put in a few more upgrades.  I was VERY depressed today when I looked up their house on a realtor's site to find that it is under contract for $85,000.  That just sucks!!!  If all these forclosed houses are selling for so little, why won't the banks work with people who want to stay in their house. And, why can't we do a loan modification???????  Let's just say the Las Vegas Housing Market sucks for homeowners but is amazing for those wanting to buy a house right now!!

Preschool

We had our second day of preschool today. We talked about apples and made an apple book. It was a lot of fun. I have loved teaching preschool again. I didn't realize how much I had missed teaching preschool. Andrea LOVES it and is doing great! I am also loving that all the preschool kids are getting along great and are having fun. It is only once a week but it is a fun little break!!

Our First Football Party

Tonight was opening night for the BYU Football Season. I must admit that BYU performed well. I am a little skeptical of BYU Football and don't always expect them to win against the big teams. Sammy really wanted to make cookies for the party so we made some sugar cookies. Sammy even decorated some of the cookies by herself and did a great job making the BYU on the cookies.

Project #1...DONE!

I finally finished sewing the girls' BYU skirts this morning. Okay, I started and finished them this morning. Sammy won't wear anything but a skirt so I bought BYU material in June to make her a skirt...I finally made them today so they could wear them for the awesome football game today! The skirts are 3-tier skirt. It was fun and easy to make them. I have material to make Sammy a few for school so I guess I better make them!!

I just had to put a picture in of my boys...I didn't make them anything though!
