C-Section Advice

I am trying to get ready for the upcoming arrival of our little boy but I feel totally lost. Can any of you who have had a c-section help me prepare?? Is there anything special I need to take to the hospital? I am used to just taking a pair of clothes for me and the baby to come home in. Anything else I should know about have a c-section? I am up to any and all suggestions!!

    Just don't forget to ask for a belly band when you leave the hospital. It is like a big velcro girdle that helps suck you in and support your gut for that not so fun car ride home. It also helps for sitting up when lying down in bed and just makes you feel less fat.

    I never knew about that belly band. Just bring bigger clothes. Anything tight on that cut will hurt. I didn't need anything extra. I hated when they took the catheter out and I had to go to the bathroom on my own. Bring something to do! :) And make sure you have the baby sleep in the nursery so you can sleep!

    THe worst for me is getting out of bed the first time. If you can do that then you will be fine. I will agree the ride home is tough, just have Jeff go very slow over all the bumps.
